Angel Walker

Angel (She/Her) is a proud West Michigan native with a passion for inclusivity and helping others. Since graduating high school, Angel has worked in the healthcare profession. First with the geriatric community where she worked closely with families and their loved ones during their final days. She has since obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Eastern Michigan University and works as a Registered Nurse on a high risk postpartum and women’s health unit in Grand Rapids. Her passion for unique care needs, high quality of care, and inclusivity are some of her driving forces to working with this population.

Angel has experience with helping families work through past traumatic birth and postpartum experiences, supporting families of infants transferred to higher level of care such as the NICU, and helping new parents adjust to caring for a newborn or multiples. She has been recognized by patients for her calm demeanor in times of uncertainty, attention to detail, tailoring of care, listening ear, and nurturing presence. Angel believes that knowledge is power, and she takes pride in arming those around her with unbiased information to make informed decisions. She appreciates the uniqueness that every family brings to the table and provides a non-judgmental, safe space for all to be welcomed into.

She is a ProDoula trained and Certified Birth Doula and Postpartum & Infant Care Doula working toward Elite Certification in both.

Angel resides in the Heritage Hill neighborhood and enjoys cooking, watching movies, reading, hiking, and being outdoors with her dog.
