Jessica saw her first labor and delivery when she was only 14 years old. It forever shaped her future. She knew from that point on that she wanted to work with moms and babies. She went to college at Grand Valley State University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. From there she became a labor and delivery nurse for 13 years. She has also worked in the Maternal and Infant Health Program, and is a Certified Lactation Counselor and Certified Childbirth Educator.

When Jessica had her first child, she realized in addition to the excitement of having a baby, families need a tremendous amount of support and encouragement in those early days. Jessica wants to help families have the best possible start and feel confident and comfortable as they welcome their newborn home. She is calm and gives non-judgmental encouragement and support to families. Jessica is a ProDoula Certified Elite Postpartum & Infant Care Doula.

Jessica lives in Saugatuck. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her husband and her two sons, and find fun and interesting things to do with them. She also loves to do anything that has to do with crafts.
