Emilee is a nurturing and empathetic birth doula serving families in the greater Grand Rapids area. Her capacity for empathy is rooted in personal experience—having witnessed her own parents navigate profound loss, Emilee learned from an early age what it means to hold space for others in times of vulnerability. This life experience deeply informs the way she shows up for her clients: with gentleness, patience, and unwavering support.

Trained through Prodoula, Emilee supports families with evidence-based information, emotional care, and practical guidance. She is especially passionate about holding space for fear, anxiety and trauma around birth and helping women find their voice to speak up for what they want and need. With a deep belief that every woman deserves compassionate, informed, and judgment-free support, she brings a steady, calming presence to pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

Emilee considers it an honor to be invited into the sacred space of birth and she approaches each family’s journey with respect, empathy, and heart. She enjoys the connection and relationship of getting to know clients and their families and providing the care that they want.

Outside of birth work, she enjoys gardening, spending time with her husband, family, and pets, creating music, crafting and most days you can find her in the kitchen baking french macarons or other specialty baked goods for her home bakery.
